A property-management system from a blank brief
Rabt is a property management system for hotels, hostels and other accommodations, giving owners full control from bookings to guest interactions. I designed it starting from almost no requirements.

Rabt: bookings, guests and properties in one system.
01
The challenge
The biggest challenge was the lack of clear, well-defined requirements. To close that gap, I researched what property managers and guests actually need.
02
Research
I reviewed existing property management systems to understand industry standards, strengths and gaps.
I studied how hotels and hostels operate, their pain points, and the features they rely on.
From that, I defined a user-centered design that meets industry needs while improving on existing solutions.

The dashboard, starting with today’s arrivals.
03
Process
Research and analysis. I interviewed stakeholders to get a full picture of the system, and ran secondary research using articles and property-management community hubs.
Information architecture. Based on the research, I restructured the navigation and content, prioritizing features by user needs.
Variables. I set up color and typography variables in Figma, which made the design process smoother.
Visual design. I built a cohesive visual language, including colors, typography and iconography, used consistently across the product.

04
Landing page
I also designed Rabt’s Arabic landing page, introducing the product to hotels and hostels.

What’s next
Designing Rabt meant balancing complex functionality with an intuitive experience. The design is now being refined and expanded with the team.
